Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
4 Tbsp. molasses
2 c. flour, plus 2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together.
Roll in balls the size of walnuts. Roll in sugar. Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
