Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. double acting baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. soft Crisco
4 medium eggs (unbeaten)
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. very fine chopped walnuts
Preparation

Sift together first 4 ingredients.
Drop in shortening, 2 eggs, milk and vanilla.
Beat 2 minutes.
Add remaining 2 eggs; beat. Fold in nuts.
Pour into greased pan lined with wax paper.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0 until done.
