Saud Bakkels(Norwegian Pastries) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cardamon or vanilla
    1/2 c. margarine or lard
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour (may need more)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    In a bowl, blend together butter, margarine and sugar until smooth.
    Stir in egg and vanilla or cardamon.
    Mix in sifted dry ingredients.
    Stir together until you get a stiff dough.
    (May need to add more flour at this point.) Press into tins.
    Bake
    8 to 10 minutes or until very lightly browned.
