Queen Elizabeth Cake(Date Nut Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c boiling water
1 c (1 lb) chopped dates
1 tsp soda
1 c sugar
1/4 c butter
1 egg
1/3 tsp salt
1/3 c nuts broken (I use english walnuts)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 c flour
7 Tbsp brown sugar
7 Tbsp cream
1/2 stick butter
1/3 c chopped nuts

Preparation

Pour boiling water over dates and soda, let stand about 5 minutes.
Mix together
sugar, butter, egg, salt, and nuts.
Add vanilla, baking powder, flour-mix to gather then ad to date mixture.
Pour into a greased 9 x 12 pan. Bake in 350 oven for 35 minutes.
