Pears In Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pears, cored
    2 c. Burgandy wine
    1 c. Tawny Port wine
    1 c. sugar
    3 sticks cinnamon
    grated rind of 1 orange
Preparation
    Cut bottom of pears so pears stand up evenly in baking dish. Boil mixture of remaining ingredients for 15 minutes, until slightly thick.
    Pour over pears.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Baste twice during baking.
    Serve warm with ice cream.
