"Y" Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 lb. hamburger
6 (No. 303) cans tomatoes
4 Tbsp. red chili powder
Preparation

Mash all tomatoes with hands, removing cores.
Add hamburger and mix with hands.
Add water according to thickness of chili desired, approximately 1 gallon.
Salt to taste.
Cook over medium heat approximately 2 1/2 hours.
When water turns chalky white, add 4 full tablespoons of chili powder.
(We used to use Try Me chili powder at the \"Y.\")
