Caramel Layers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. caramel ice cream topping
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. oatmeal
Preparation
    Combine 2 c. flour, salt, soda, brown sugar and oatmeal.
    Cut in with pastry blender.
    Reserve 2 cups, press remaining mixture into bottom of greased 12 x 18-inch jellyroll pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Combine caramel sauce with 1/4 c. flour.
    Spread over base.
    Sprinkle with chocolate chips, then reserved crumb mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12-15 minutes until delicately browned.
