Cumin Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can plum tomatoes
    1 chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
    salt and pepper
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. oil
    1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. dry bread crumbs
    2 1/2 Tbsp. milk
    1 bunch fresh coriander
Preparation
    Puree the tomatoes with their liquid in a food processor. Saute onion, garlic, 1/4 teaspoon cumin and 1/2 teaspoon salt in 1 tablespoon oil until onion is soft.
    Add tomato puree and red pepper flakes.
    Simmer over low heat partly covered (about 30 minutes).
