Ingredients

1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (9 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate kisses
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg yolk
2 tsp. orange juice
2 tsp. baking powder
5 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Cream butter, softened cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolk, almond extract and orange juice.
Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in 3 cups flaked coconut.
Cover dough and chill about 1 hour.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll balls in remaining coconut.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom.
Remove from oven and press a chocolate kiss into center of each cookie.
Allow to cool 1 minute.
Carefully remove cookies from sheet and cool until chocolate kisses are firm. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
