English Pea And Shoe Peg Corn Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 can LeSueur English peas, drained
    1 can Shoe Peg corn, drained
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    a little bell pepper (if desired)
Preparation
    Stir together and boil for 1 minute the first 5 ingredients. Set aside until cold.
    Mix all the above together.
    Pour the liquid mixture over the vegetables and let it set overnight.
