Scooter'S Chili Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. bacon fat
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 onions, chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. powdered comino seed
    1 1/2 oz. chili powder
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    bowl of Fritos or tortillas
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute the meat in just enough fat to cover the bottom of the skillet.
    When meat is browned, add the rest of the fat and the flour.
    Add heated consomme, stirring.
    Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Increase heat and stir continually until mixture thickens.
    Place mixture in the top of double boiler, add cheese in small chunks, stirring until melted.
    Serve in a chafing dish with Fritos or tortillas.
    Serves 25 to 30.
