Smothered Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 frying chicken
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. Crisco
    2 c. water
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cut chicken into serving pieces.
    Pour flour, salt and pepper in bag and shake.
    Add chicken and shake until well coated.
    Melt Crisco in heavy skillet.
    Add chicken and brown on all sides. Remove from heat and add water.
    Cover with tight lid or foil, then bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour.
