Barbecued Spareribs - Chinese Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 clove garlic
    2 slices fresh ginger root
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    4 Tbsp. low salt soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. 5 spice powder
    1/2 tsp. red food coloring
    2 scallions, sliced thin
    1/4 c. chicken broth (low salt)
    3 lb. lean pork spareribs
Preparation
    In a
    medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except pork. Bring to a simmering boil.
    Place pork in a large shallow bowl or pan. Pour warm marinade over pork. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
