Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box angel food cake, baked, or store-bought cake
1 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 small container Cool Whip
1 large box strawberry Jell-O
2 c. sugar, split
3 tsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 to 3 containers fresh strawberries
Preparation

Boil 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar and cornstarch; boil until clear and thick. Add Jell-O; set aside.
Rinse strawberries; set aside.
Mix 1 cup sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add Cool Whip.
In large bowl, break up part of cake, then cover with part of cream cheese mixture, then tear apart more of cake, then cover with more of cream cheese. Mix strawberries with Jell-O. Pour over top of cake mixture. Refrigerate.
