Banana-Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/3 c. self-rising flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas (about 3 medium)
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
2/3 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour oblong pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches.
Beat all ingredients in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly 30 seconds.
Beat on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally 3 minutes.
Pour into pan.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, oblong 45 to 50 minutes. Cool.
Frost with vanilla butter frosting.
