Basic Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. shredded red or green cabbage
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 tsp. fennel seed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Toss together all ingredients.
    Before serving, stir in 1 cup chopped tomato or apple, if desired.
    Makes 4 cups.
