Dark Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 lb. butter
    6 eggs
    2 1/3 c. sugar
    4 c. flour
    1 lb. raisins (I use golden)
    1 qt. pecans
    1/2 lb. dates, chopped
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. cream
    1/2 c. orange juice
    dash of nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs and mix well.
    Add 3 cups flour and liquids.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Add 1 cup flour to nuts and fruit.
    Coat well and add to batter.
    Line a large tube pan with paper and grease well.
    Pack cake batter into pan.
    Place in water bath canner and steam for 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove from canner and put in 320\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until done.
