Cherry Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites, frothy
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. walnuts
    42 crackers (1 sleeve)
    1 large Cool Whip
    2 cans cherries
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Add cream of tartar and vanilla; beat well.
    Add sugar, walnuts and crackers; mix well. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan to make crust.
    Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0; cool down.
    Spread large Cool Whip on top of crust and top with cherries.
    Keep cool until serving.
