Best Ever Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix together all ingredients and pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Place in preheated oven.
    Lower heat to 325\u00b0 and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until set.
    Remove from oven and set on wire rack to cool.
    Yields 8 servings.
