Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. buttermilk
    2 boxes raisins
    1 box light brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
    1/2 lb. butter, cut into small sq.
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    pinch of salt
    3 eggs, well beaten
    10 c. flour (4 lb.)
Preparation
    Put the first 5 ingredients all together in a large kettle overnight in a cool spot.
    Next day, add remaining ingredients. Mix with a large wooden spoon, then mix all together.
    Put Crisco and flour into bread pans.
    Makes 3 large loaves.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 2 hours.
    If using smaller pans, bake for a lot less time.
    Check with a toothpick for doneness.
