Ingredients

3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Set aside.
Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and continue to beat until light. Add well beaten eggs and blend thoroughly.
Add vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients and creamed; mix thoroughly.
Chill.
Roll thin to 1/8-inch on lightly floured board and cut with cookie cutter or form drop cookies.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 6 to 10 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen.
