Doris' Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted 10x sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Mix sugar and butter; add egg and flavoring.
    Mix thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method or sifting.
    Stir in dry ingredients and blend.
    Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Roll dough to 3/16-inch thick on lightly floured pastry cloth and cut with cookie cutter.
    Sprinkle with sugar and place on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until delicately golden.
