Welsh Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. flour
    1 c. butter
    1 c. lard
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. milk
    2 c. sugar
    1 lb. currants
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 level tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift cream of
    tartar,
    soda,
    sugar,
    salt
    and baking powder with flour.
    Rub butter and lard in like for pie crust. Add currants, eggs and milk, add more milk if necessary.
    Roll and cut.
    Bake
    over low flame (350\u00b0) about 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
