Good Old Southern Pintos(Old - 1940) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pintos
    4 beef bouillon cubes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Use cooking apples.
    Wash, slice and fry in bacon drippings. Sprinkle heavily with sugar and a little salt.
    Fry until done, approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
    Fry in heavy skillet.
