Griddle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. butter or Crisco
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda; cut in butter until mixture is mealy.
    Add egg, milk and raisins; mix until all ingredients are moistened and dough holds together.
    The dough will be very stiff.
    Roll on floured board to 1 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch cookie cutter.
    Refrigerate until ready to bake on a griddle.
