Pecan Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg yolk
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream together margarine and sugar.
    Add egg yolk, flour and vanilla.
    Press onto lightly greased 12 x 16-inch pan.
    Spread egg white on top.
    Take off excess.
    Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans.
    Press 1/2 of pecans into batter.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Cut while hot into squares, bars or rectangles. Yields approximately 84 to 90 rectangles per pan.
