Ingredients

4 eggs
3/4 c. maple syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. Vermont maple syrup
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Separate the eggs; beat separately.
Heat 3/4 cup syrup to a boiling point.
Slowly pour in yolks, beating constantly.
Fold in beaten whites, vanilla, salt, flour and baking powder.
Bake in greased tube pan in 325\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes.
