Popcorn Balls(Childrens Delight) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 quarts popped corn
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup, water, salt and margarine in small sauce pan and cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and mixture boils. Continue cooking without stirring until it reaches 250\u00b0 on candy thermometer, hard ball stage. remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour slowly over popped corn in large bowl and mix to coat all kernels. Work quickly and shape into 4 inch balls. As you are working with part of corn, you can keep remaining in oven at 200\u00b0 to stay warm and pliable. Place square of waxed paper under each ball.
