Mother'S Cinnamon Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except pecans and simmer in 2-quart heavy saucepan until mixture threads when dropped from a spoon or forms a soft ball in cold water (15 to 20 minutes).
    Remove from heat and stir in pecans.
    Continue stirring until all nuts are sugar coated and break into original halves.
    Will last forever in plastic bags or tightly covered containers.
