8 fresh turnips, peeled and sliced (about 2 1/2 lb.)
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 c. milk
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover and cook over medium heat 40 minutes or until tender.
Drain well.
