Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat
oven to 350\u00b0.\tMelt margarine over low heat in a 2-quart
saucepan.\tRemove\tfrom heat.
Stir in sugar, then stir in\tegg.
Then
stir in flour, salt, vanilla and pecans. Spread in\twell-greased
(with margarine) square pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch). Bake
for
25
minutes.
Do
not overbake.\tCut into bars after it has cooled.
