Special Occasion Chicken And Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 hen
2 c. flour
2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. black pepper
2 c. buttermilk
4 eggs, well beaten
1 medium onion, chopped
4 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. rubbed sage

Preparation

Boil hen slowly until tender.
Set aside to cool.
Sift together flour, meal, salt and soda.
Add chopped onion, milk and eggs.
Mix well and add sage and black pepper.
Pour in generously greased pan and bake at 450\u00b0 until brown.
