Coconut Kisses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    salt
    1 1/4 c. white sugar
    2 1/2 c. shredded coconut
    grated rind or orange or lemon
Preparation
    Beat the egg whites with salt until soft peaks form.
    By tablespoonfuls, gradually add sugar, beating very stiff.
    Fold in coconut and orange or lemon rind.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet, lined with aluminum foil (ungreased).
    Bake in slow oven at 325\u00b0 for 20 minutes or delicately browned.
    Store kisses in an airtight container.
