Brown Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raw rice
    1 stick margarine
    1 medium onion
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 cans consomme or beef broth
    1/2 c. water
    1 can mushrooms, drained (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter in 2-quart casserole.
    Stir in rice, onion and oregano.
    Add consomme, mushrooms and water.
    Cover with foil. Cook at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 8 to 10; may cut recipe in half.
