German Punch (Ananas Bowle)(Pineapple-Bowl) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. canned or frozen pineapple and juice
    2 bottles Rhine or Moselle wine, well chilled
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 oz. rum or brandy
    1 bottle dry champagne or soda water
Preparation
    Place pineapple in punch bowl.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Add rum; let stand for 2 hours.
    Add wine and champagne or soda water. Strawberries can also be used.
