Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 unpeeled squash, sliced thin
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 to 1 c. cottage cheese
    1/2 to 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. cracker crumbs
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Steam squash and onion until tender.
    Drain water.
    Mash and add cottage cheese, egg and salt.
    Coat bottom of Pyrex dish with 1 teaspoon butter.
    Pour mixture into dish.
    Sprinkle top with cracker crumbs and Cheddar cheese.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
