Southern Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. corn meal mix
2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 to 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix meal and flour together.
Add drippings and mix gradually. Add buttermilk until well blended and thick.
Grease skillet (iron), preferred heavy.
Pour in mixture and bake at 425\u00b0 about 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown.
