Apple Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    4 c. pared and sliced apples
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
Preparation
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
    Cut in shortening; add milk.
    Roll in oblong sheet 1/4-inch thick.
    Brush with melted butter.
    Cover with apples.
    Sprinkle with 1 cup sugar and cinnamon which has been mixed.
    Roll like a jelly roll.
    Cut in slices 1 1/2-inches thick.
    Place rolls, cut side down, in pan.
