Cracklin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted meal
    1 c. cracklins
    1 tsp. salt
    water (to mix)
Preparation
    Cut cracklins in small pieces; pour 1/2 cup hot water over them.
    Add to the meal.
    Add additional water and the salt to mix into a dough.
    Let stand 5 minutes and if too stiff, add more water.
    Put in an iron greased skillet that has been heated on top of stove.
    Then put in hot oven and bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
