Dried Apple And Molasses Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. molasses
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs together.
    Then add milk and dry ingredients.
    Beat with mixer until smooth.
    Make the layers real thin.
    It makes 5 to 6 thin layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Have dried apples cooked and mashed up very fine.
    Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg to apples.
    Then put cooked dried apples between each layer.
