Spiced Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    10 or 12 whole cloves
    6 fresh peaches, peeled and halved
    1/2 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, bring the first 4 ingredients to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add peaches; simmer for 6 to 8 minutes or until
    heated through. Place into a shallow baking dish. Cover and chill for 8 hours. Drain. Discard cloves. Spoon into serving dishes. Garnish with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Makes 6 servings.
