Evelyn'S Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. unpopped corn or 7 1/2 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt.
    Heat to boiling.
    Boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add soda and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
    Pour over popped corn in large bowl.
    Place on 2 jelly roll pans (15 x 10 x 1-inch) or 1 large roasting pan.
    Bake at 200\u00b0 for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    When cool, place in covered container.
