Penuche Fudge(One Pound) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Butter\tsides
    and bottom of pan.
    Combine sugars, corn syrup, milk
    and\tsalt in a heavy saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat until
    sugar is dissolved.\tCook, stirring occasionally, to
    234\u00b0 on\tcandy
    thermometer
    or\tuntil
    a small amount of mixture forms
    a
    soft
    ball when removed from water.
    Remove from\theat and
    add
    butter.
    Cool to 120\u00b0, without stirring. The
    bottom
    of the pan will be lukewarm.\tAdd vanilla;
    beat vigorously
    and continuously for 5 to 10 minutes with a wooden spoon
    until
    the candy
    is
    thick and no longer glossy.
    The mixture will
    hold its
    shape\twhen
    dropped
    from
    a\tspoon. Quickly stir
    in nuts. Spread mixture evenly in buttered pan. Cool until firm and cut into squares.
