Navy Bean Soup(Bonnesuppe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. navy beans
    1 lb. ham hocks
    chopped onion
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Rinse and wash beans.
    Soak overnight.
    Drain; cover with hot water in large kettle.
    Boil until tender with ham hocks.
    Add onion and seasonings toward end of cooking.
