Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. diced squash
    2 c. diced onions
    1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. white vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Sprinkle salt on vegetables.
    Cover with ice.
    Let stand 1 1/2 hours. Wash and drain well.
    Bring to boil white vinegar, sugar and celery seed.
    Add vegetables and boil 10 minutes.
    Pack in jars and seal.
