Tomato Chutney - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    30 large ripe tomatoes
    6 large pears
    6 large peaches
    6 large apples
    4 large onions
    2 c. vinegar
    4 c. granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 pkg. mixed pickling spice (tied in cloth)
Preparation
    Peel
    and
    chop
    tomatoes,
    pears,
    peaches, apples and onions.
    Mix
    all ingredients and boil until thick.
    Pour into sterilized jars to
    within 1/2 inch of top. Put on cap.
    Screw band firmly
    tight.
    Process
    in boiling water bath 5 minutes. Yields 12 pints.
