Portuguese Sweet Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk
    7 to 8 c. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/3 c. caraway seed
Preparation
    Boil caraway seed in 1 cup water for 15 minutes.
    Strain and keep water.
    Moisten yeast with 2 tablespoons warm water; add 1 tablespoon sugar and stir until dissolved.
    Scald milk (combined with water).
    Add butter and salt.
    Cool; add yeast and 1/4 cup caraway liquid.
    Place 2 1/2 cups flour in bowl; add liquid.
    Beat dough; stir in 2 1/2 cups flour.
    Cover bowl; allow to double. Beat eggs, take out 2 tablespoons; add remaining sugar to beaten eggs.
    Stir into dough.
    Add 2 to 3 cups flour; divide dough into round loaves.
    Cover and allow to double.
    Brush surface with egg. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
