Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Put raisins in bowl with water and let stand for 10 minutes. Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and beat well.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with raisin mixture.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
