Broccoli-Cheese Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. onions, chopped
1 stick margarine
2 lb. chopped broccoli or 2 large bags (frozen)
1 qt. chicken stock or 1 qt. water plus 2 Tbsp. chicken stock base
1 qt. half and half cream
2 Tbsp. cornstarch (optional)
1 lb. American cheese or 1 lb. box Velveeta cheese, cut in pieces
Preparation

Saute onions in margarine until clear.
Add broccoli and stock and cook until tender. Add and blend half and half cream. Add grated or cut up cheese. Cook until cheese is all melted and soup is thickening. Dissolve cornstarch in 1 cup water. Add if thicker soup is desired.
