Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 c. coconut
1 c. crushed, salted peanuts or 1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
Preparation

Mix well and chill in refrigerator before baking.
Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet.
Flatten slightly with bottom of glass dipped in additional crushed corn flakes.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
